China Machine Press (CMP), established in 1952, were the first batch of state-level scientific and technological publishing houses for the purpose of developing national machinery industry. After more than 60 years of development, we have become one of the largest comprehensive science and technology publishing houses in China.

Each year, CMP publishes more than 10,000 titles, imports and exports nearly 800 titles’ copyright, sells over 30 million copies of books, and realizes the total selling price of books to 1.6 billion yuan. The products include three major sectors: science and technology , education and trade books, covering dozens of subjects like mechanical engineering, electrical & electronic engineering, automobile engineering, architecture, business & management, IT, foreign language learning, children’s books, agriculture, popular books, life books, as well as different levels of education such as higher education, vocational education, skill education and primary education. For a long time, CMP’s market share has been in the top of the market segments and sales channels. CMP published a lot of classic products, such as Mechanical Engineering Handbook, Electrical Engineering Handbook, Machinery Design Handbook, Computer Science Series and Drucker’s Management Classic, and also a large amount of bestsellers which are leading the trend, such as Execution, Positioning, Internet Thinking.

CMP’s publications won many honors such as National Science Congress Award, National Book Award, National Journal Award, Chinese Publishing Government Award, National Excellent Science and Technology Book Award, Top 100 Periodicals, and Chinese Good Books.
